Raleigh Space for Everyone - June 2011

Exciting young family with loads of kids (Four! All girls! Poor Dad!) After building a new home, Dad wanted to provide a space for everyone – kids, friends and family. A neighborhood swimming hole.

New home – Brick terraced back yard, screened-in porch, hot tub, trampoline area, pool slide and night lighting.

Materials - Brick and travertine, Plants - Crape myrtles, Green Giants, knock out roses.


Sanford Vacation at Home - August 2011

Single mom looking to bring a vacation land to her kids everyday. A touch of Disney! Beautiful pool with a grotto, falls and slide, outdoor kitchen with grill, pizza oven bar and fireplace. A tropical paradise courtyard setting.

Truly a dreamland for any age. Materials – Brick walls and columns to match house. Travertine pool deck and patio, composition and PVC deck, Rico Rock play area, plant material – Windmill palms, Ornamental grass – Adagio, Creeping Jenny and Carpet Roses.


Cary Backyard Dream - July 2011

The family was interested in creating an exciting living space and incorporating architectural characteristics from their home into their backyard dream. The kids love to slide and swim, the father-in-law loves to cook and Mom and Dad enjoy the hot tub. Something for everyone! It is truly a fabulous gathering place.

Materials used – Cultured stone to match face and foundation of house. Lots of terracing. We used travertine for pool decking to give a clean, formal and natural look and quality mature plants to soften the area along with wide flowing steps.


Durham Courtyard Pool Renovation - June 2011

Wonderful family, always on the go. Our goal is to totally renovate their back courtyard pool area while keeping with the old English Tutor look. To allow a fresh new feeling and flow from the inside to outdoor kitchen sitting area to the pool/patio/entertainment area. With views to the golf course, what more could you want!

Materials – Travertine, accent plants to existing garden, handmade wooden gates, stone walls, stoned hot tub.


Hillsborough Estate - September 2011

The owner of beautiful Hillsborough estate wanting to beautify established landscape and create some new areas of interest. Plantings include evergreens, a variety of Japanese Maples, flowering shrubs and rocks.


Raleigh Pool and Backyard Oasis - September 2011

Raleigh project -- Wooded, sloping backyard gives way to beautiful outdoor living space! Renovated by removal of 30 trees and regraded to level for pool and stamped concrete pool deck, outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
